Almost no returned travellers left in Melbourne’s quarantine hotels – The Age
Only two Melbourne hotels are operating as quarantine facilities, with 14 others free of incoming travellers after closure of Victoria’s borders.
Despite the controversy now surrounding the quarantine scheme, the chief executive of the association representing the countrys big accommodation providers said that most hotels that participated would be willing to keep taking travellers once it restarted.
But Dean Long, from the Accommodation Association, said participating in the program had not come without cost for some of the big hotel chains, which include the Sheraton, Crown and Rydges.
