Alleged Queensland border runners charged over Sydney Airport transit

In addition to the same charge as Mr Muranga, Ms Lasu was also charged on January 13, 2021 with making a false or misleading statement for authority or benefit.
NSW Police Force said she was due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on June 29, 2021.
In their Queensland cases, Ms Muranga and Ms Lasu allegedly committed fraud because they “dishonestly gained a benefit of avoiding mandatory 14-day self-quarantine period” by providing false information to border officers at Brisbane Airport’s domestic terminal on July 21.
