Alleged Brisbane sex-slave victims come forward, more charges laid

Police have laid charges against a third person over an alleged sexual slavery operation in which several women were drugged and tattooed as property.
Raids of two houses in Brisbane’s south last week uncovered evidence including alleged recordings of male clients engaging in sexual acts with the women, four of which were found at a Mount Gravatt East address.
Matthew James Markcrow, 35, and Crystal Marie Sawyer, 23, were charged and appeared in court on a range of charges including conducting a business of unlawful prostitution and one involving servitude, respectively.
