William Pike’s quest for a second successive victory in the All-Star Mile received a boost at Tuesday’s barrier draw when he picked gate five for Arcadia Queen in the $5 million race. Pike partnered Regal Power to victory in the 2020 edition and once again teams-up with the training duo Grant and Alana Williams and owner Bob Peters with Arcadia Queen.
It was the mares who dominated the pre-draw betting for the race, with Arcadia Queen and Probabeel sharing favouritism at $3.50 (TAB).
