All non-urgent surgery to be cancelled in regional Victoria

Public hospitals in regional Victoria are winding back all non-urgent surgery.
From 11.59pm yesterday August 5, 2020, regional Victoria went into Stage 3 restrictions, which allow only four reasons to leave the house: care and caregiving, shopping for the things you need, exercise, and work and education – if you can’t do it from home.
Where possible, Category 3 and non-urgent Category 2 surgery which is already booked can still take place, at the hospital’s discretion.
