Alexei Navalny faces court in Moscow, Russian police arrest more than 100 protesters
Russian police have detained people as they gathered near a court in Moscow that is hearing a case against Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.

- He argued it was impossible for him to abide by them as he was in Germany after being poisoned by a nerve agent

Police were deployed near the court in large numbers and cordoned off nearby streets and detained 112 people, the OVD-Info protest monitoring group said.
Mr Navalny is facing a court hearing that could jail him for up to three-and-a-half years in a case that has sparked nationwide protests and talk of new Western sanctions.
