Australia has long had a love affair with alcohol and our drinking culture is often normalised.
And many of us still overestimate what is a ‘safe amount’ of alcohol consumption is per week is and COVID-19 lockdowns have pushed some people to pour even more than usual.
Just last week the latest National Drug Strategy Household Survey was published and shared the drinking habits of over 23,000 Australians.
It found 1 in 10 recent drinkers met the criteria for alcohol dependence.
