Aged care provider admits flaws after Brisbane grandmother died from ‘horrific’ sepsis

A major aged care provider has admitted there were flaws in the treatment of a Queensland grandmother whose family claims she was neglected while suffering painful sepsis.
Norma Palmer, a resident of a Regis facility in Birkdale in Brisbane’s east, died aged 89 in July last year.
Her family has shared photos of gruesome sores on her lower leg and back, in a bid to raise awareness of the circumstances of her death.
