Afterpay’s hidden superpower – The Australian Financial Review
Afterpay has always been adept at shaping the regulatory settings it operates under. It will do the same in Britain, where a new crackdown is threatened.
The biggest problem, of course, is affordability, and the fact that most providers only perform basic credit checks (known as soft checks) on users. Afterpays British subsidiary, Clearpay, doesnt even do those.
