Afterpay’s Eisen hits back at claims by CBA-backed Klarna – The Australian Financial Review
The Afterpay co-founder says claims by a Swedish-based rival that its fees are extortionate are ‘disingenuous and desperate’.

We know exactly where they are and they are not out of kilter with us, and even if they were why are more merchants choosing us then in the US and Australia? he said.
With Klarna having only signed up 500 merchants in Australia (Afterpay has 48,000) and with its 400,000 app downloads compared to Afterpay’s more than 3.5 million active local users, Mr Eisen said “there is nothing particular we have seen Klarna achieve to date through the association with CBA”.
