South Australia has joined the race to host the prestigious event. Adelaide Oval will battle Perths Optus Stadium and Brisbanes Gabba for the rights due to Melbournes ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
The weekend believed to be selected by the AFL for the grand final is set to be packed, with WAs Telethon pencilled in while Melbournes Cox Plate is also scheduled for October 24.
