AFL players told ‘don’t expect a family holiday’ in hubs – The Age
The families of AFL players heading into or already inside one of the league’s hubs have been explicitly told not to expect a “family holiday experience.”
During their initial 14-day quarantine period, players and family members are prohibited from leaving the hubs at any time, except for emergency and medical treatment not available at the hub.
Once the 14-day quarantine period is over, things open up considerably. Players and families will be allowed to go to the supermarket, to the pharmacy, play golf and tennis, go surfing and fishing, and attend a funeral or wedding.
A memo from the AFL to families of players headed to Queensland hubs.
