AFL fans hoping to see Powderfinger play at the Grand Final just had their hearts broken – Fox Sports
If you were keen to see Powderfinger play at this year’s AFL Grand Final, the popular rock band just dashed your hopes.
The band released a statement via its Twitter account on Saturday afternoon, saying it was extremely flattered to be asked to perform at the Gabba but confirming it is not to be this time.
With the AFL on Wednesday confirming the Grand Final venue and twilight/night setting, speculation over the games marquee entertainment act began.
