Up to a staggering 24 players could earn their first All-Australian blazer on Thursday night when the final team is announced.
The AFL announced on Tuesday the 40-man squad, with 15 teams represented. Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield is in line to earn his eighth selection in the squad, which has been matched by just five players.
