Adelaide Crows to host AFLW grand final after defeating Melbourne Demons by 18 points

The Crows will host next Saturday’s AFLW season decider at Adelaide Oval after posting a comprehensive 18-point win over Melbourne in the opening preliminary final.
The minor premiers, who are chasing a third AFLW flag, earned the right to host the grand final at their home ground by beating the Demons 5.3 (33) to 1.9 (15) at Adelaide Oval this afternoon.
Erin Phillips was prominent for the Crows with two goals, while Anne Hatchard, Eloise Jones and Chloe Scheer also contributed majors.
The Crows will face either Brisbane or Collingwood in the grand final.
The AFL announced during the week the AFLW grand final would be a standalone event, with the men’s match between the Bulldogs and Suns rescheduled to start later on Saturday afternoon.
