Mareeba – bushfire as at 5.00pm Thur 5 Nov QAS Paramedics remain on standby to assist Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews at a bushfire near Godfrey Road and Hastie Road, Mareeba. The fire is currently posing no threat to property. Fire crews will continue to monitor the blaze, which is burning under control and within containment lines. Smoke may linger overnight. Nearby residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution.
