‘Absolute stupidity’ as Queensland records six Easter road deaths
Senior police have slammed the “absolute stupidity” of some Queensland drivers after an Easter long weekend of carnage on the state’s roads, which resulted in six dead and more fighting for their lives in hospital.
Acting Chief Superintendent Ray Rohweder there were several instances of dangerous driving over the wet Easter long weekend.

“One driver was 75 kilometres an hour over [the speed limit] yesterday morning at Daisy Hill,” he said on Tuesday.
“That is just absolute stupidity.”
