Woolworth’s ‘aggressive’ pursuit of store called unconscionable but company says alcohol control will be most stringent in the country
Aboriginal and community groups have expressed deep disappointment at the Northern Territorys decision to approve a Dan Murphys alcohol megastore in Darwin.
They said the process was stacked against community concerns about the health impacts of alcohol and it amounted to corporate wilful blindness by parent company Woolworths.
But Woolworths through a spokesman for its subsidiary Endeavour Group, which operates Dan Murphys said the store would have the most stringent set of alcohol control policies…
