ABF officers breaking the ice in Hobart.
Recently, our officers in Hobart attended to a French military flight en route to Antarctica.
The 2.30am arrival included French Antarctic expeditioners and personnel from the French Naval vessel, FNS L’Astrolabe – an icebreaker used to bring personnel and supplies to the Dumont d’Urville Station in Antarctica.
Four of our officers conducted inwards Customs and Immigration processes before the expeditioners and crew were transported to their hotel for 14 days’ mandatory quarantine.
At the completion of quarantine, they joined their colleagues on the FNS L’Astrolabe for the long journey to Antarctica.

Bon voyage and stay safe!
