A2 Milk and Synlait Milk posted the biggest gains on the NZX 50 as optimism grew for the infant formula market.
Infant formula marketer The a2 Milk Company and its manufacturing partner Synlait Milk lifted the sharemarket as optimism increased for the troubled sector.
The benchmark S&P/NZX 50 Index edged up 0.09 per cent, or 10.731 points, to 12,551.93 on Friday.
