Gold Coast president Tony Cochrane has doubled down on his strong view the AFL Grand Final should finish at night, labelling the call to return to the day timeslot this year p*ss poor and a VFL decision.
After trialling last years Grand Final in Brisbane at night amid the coronavirus-affected 2020 season, the AFL earlier this month revealed its showpiece game would return to the traditional afternoon timeslot in 2021 at the MCG, with the ball to be bounced at 2.30pm.
