A rapid test offers hope for community screening

A study by the same team in April found that 11 percent of Latino attendees at another train station tested positive for the virus using PCR, compared to 2.6 percent in the city as a whole.
About 90 percent of those who tested positive in this study were key workers, and 88 percent made less than $ 55,000 a year, said Jon Jacobo, chairman of the Latino Task Forces health committee. Undocumented community members may also not have access to sick pay or state and federal benefits, he said.
