The coronavirus pandemic will not end at the stroke of midnight on December 31 and a vaccine is a new piece of armour, not a silver bullet.
I encourage everyone to consider how far weve come this year. Consider early 2020, where case numbers were increasing by 60 to 80 people each day and I had no choice but to ask all 5 million of you to stay home.
Almost 50 per cent of the Queensland population was working from home. Clubs, pubs and bars had all been shut down, and restaurants could only offer take away or delivery services.
We saw widespread panic shopping. Toilet paper became the nations most precious commodity.
