A man has been fined $500 after landing a private helicopter on a strip of beach at K’gari.
The pilot told rangers he was picking up visitors when another tourist aeroplane was about to land on the exact strip
near Eli Creek.The State Government are reminding private pilots that they must receive permission from QPWS before landing an aircraft on Fraser Island.
