‘A lot of people don’t have a sense of humour’: Bombers boss addresses whiteboard draft ‘fail’ – Fox Sports
Essendon list boss Adrian Dodoro has played down his AFL Draft whiteboard ‘blunder’, saying “there’s a lot of people that don’t have a sense of humour”.
Rival clubs were left equal parts startled and amused when, as part of a draft rehearsal via weblink this week, Essendons video showed a whiteboard with the names of three prospective draftees circled and placed alongside existing players.
The Bombers would end up taking two of those players in the draft (half-forward/midfield prospect Archie Perkins and tall Nik Cox), but onlookers were sceptical Dodoro had made a genuine error, a theory he added credence to on Friday.
