Shock change for F1 stalwarts as Renault announces new name Alpine F1 and colours – Fox Sports
Daniel Ricciardo’s Renault F1 team will rebrand as Alpine F1 with a new look for the 2021 season.
The French outfit, which will employ Esteban Ocon and dual world champion Fernando Alonso next season when Ricciardo leaves for McLaren, confirmed it would change its name and colour scheme as part of a rebranding effort.
The team will likely be known as Alpine Renault, with the chassis to be Alpines but Renault engines still to be used. The colour scheme will transition from yellow and black to the French colours of red, white and blue.
