Her Majesty has plenty of pricey pieces in her jewellery collection, but this hefty brooch is one of the most expensive.
Made from two diamonds cut from the largest gem-quality diamond ever found, the Cullinan diamond, the brooch is affectionately known as “Granny’s chips”.
It’s made from the third- and fourth-largest diamonds cut from it: a 94.4-carat clear pear-shaped stone, and a 63.6-carat cushion-shaped stone.
