Cronulla’s halfback is the third player to be sent off this season, after a stunning hit on Kalyn Ponga. But the pain might only just be starting for the Sharks.

On the Townsend tackle, Morris said: “Its a shoulder charge. His arm was tucked, Im not going to deny that.
“Whether it was a send-off, Im not so sure. Maybe he could have stayed on the field, but the rules are the rules. I dont think hes even been sin-binned in his career, let alone sent off. Hes not one to play like that.
“He was just trying to change the momentum of the game. No doubt hell have a case to answer and well have to defend him.”
