Wednesday night lights: Finals set for historic mid-week start – AFL
The AFL is set to begin the 2020 Toyota AFL Finals Series on a Wednesday night for the first time
THE AFL is poised to stage a Wednesday night final for the first time in history to kick off the 2020 Toyota AFL Finals Series.
Clubs spoken to by AFL.com.au believe this year’s series is slated to begin on Wednesday, September 30 and likely to follow with finals on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
It comes after the AFL this week locked in the Toyota AFL Grand Final in Brisbane on Saturday, October 24, to be played for the first time under lights and outside of Victoria.
