Cronulla coach John Morris has teed off on his playing group and claimed they don’t deserve to play finals after a shocking 38-10 loss to Newcastle on Friday.
The Sharks are teetering inside the NRLs top eight and are in danger of being run down and knocked out of finals by the Warriors – a fact thought nigh impossible only a few weeks ago.
Kalyn Ponga put a clinic on the Shire boys, who were cruelled by errors and ill discipline in the Hunter.
Halfback Chad Townsend was sent off for a blatant shoulder charge on Ponga, while three other players were put on report for lifting tackles.
