Cronulla coach John Morris has teed off on his playing group and claimed they don’t deserve to play finals after a shocking 38-10 loss to Newcastle on Friday.

Kalyn Ponga put a clinic on the Shire boys, who were cruelled by errors and ill discipline in the Hunter.
Halfback Chad Townsend was sent off for a blatant shoulder charge on Ponga, while three other players were put on report for lifting tackles.
