Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin has admitted his side didn’t perform to AFL standard during their upset loss to Sydney, which has left their finals hopes hanging by a thread.
After a nailbiting win over St Kilda in Round 14, a victory against the Swans wouldve all but locked in the Demons for their second finals appearance in three years.
The loss left Melbourne great Garry Lyon convinced that the Dees simply dont deserve to play finals, while Goodwin admitted the game was lost at the start.
