COVID-19 case confirmed in regional aged care facility – Chronicle
A REGIONAL aged care home is working closely with health departments to prevent the spread of coronavirus in its facility after a staff member tested positive.

UPDATE: QUEENSLAND’S Chief Health Officer Jeanette Young has praised the response of Karinya Place aged care facility in Laidley after a staff member tested positive to COVID-19.
“It was handled beautifully,” Dr Young said.
The staff member is one of two new COVID-19 cases in the state overnight, and both those people are “known contacts of cases and both contacts of each other”, Dr Young said.
She said the next step was for all the residents and staff of the facility to be tested.
