Naomi Osaka advanced to the second round of the US Open, but made a huge statement before her match.
Naomi Osaka has been vocal about her social justice issues over the last few months and in her First Round US Open match she made another big statement.
Osaka was wearing a plain black mask with Breonna Taylors name written across the front, honouring the former Louisville EMT who was shot and killed by police in her bed earlier this year.
