One in eight first home buyers taps home loan guarantee – The Australian Financial Review
NSW took the lion’s share of the guarantees in the first six months of the year, with demand heavily concentrated in the outer suburban areas of the major cities and some satellite regional centres.
NHFIC chief executive Nathan Dal Bon said demand for the scheme in the six months to June 30 continued despite the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“First-time buyers across age and income spectrums around the country accessed the scheme, and we saw strong interest from buyers in outer metropolitan and regional areas,” Mr Dal Bon said.
