Western wonder: Panthers get wish for home final – Sydney Morning Herald
The NRL is expected to announce a decision this week which will allow the title favourites to play out of their suburban home in the opening week of the finals.
They will have their wish met for a match which could be played against the likes of the Eels, Roosters or Raiders.
The decision is also likely to allow the Storm to play their first final out of Sunshine Coast Stadium should they finish the regular season in the top two.
Sources familiar with the situation said the NRL is yet to finalise where they will play matches in the second and third week of the finals.
A formal announcement on the NRL’s week one venue policy is expected this week.
