Demons axe five while Saints drop Carlisle ahead of crunch clash – The Age
Demon Bayley Fritsch has been dropped for arriving late to training but Max Gawn and Nathan Jones will return to face St Kilda, which has also made a selection shock.

Key forward Tom McDonald, James Harmes, Braydon Preuss and Jay Lockhart were also dropped while Tom Sparrow (collarbone) was injured. Harmes had played the past 72 games for Melbourne.
Gawn has missed three matches because of a shoulder tear then a posterior cruciate ligament issue but has been cleared to resume.
