Update: The TWU has confirmed a protest by Perth Qantas workers against the carrier’s plan to axe and outsource 2500 jobs which was slated for this morning, will now take place tomorrow.

Qantas workers in Perth and across the country are preparing to protest the carriers plan to axe and outsource 2500 jobs.
The company plans to cut all of its ground, baggage and cleaning jobs and put them out for tender.
The move would save Qantas $100 million per year as the travel industry remains devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.
It comes just months after Qantas announced it would be cutting 6000 jobs, and standing down a further 15000 employees.
