Newitt shifted his family to return to riding in Victoria when the COVID-19 crisis prompted the Tasmanian Government to shut down racing in that state in April.
Newitt’s ability to ride light has presented him with the chance to win a $750,000 race aboard the Peter Moody-trained Glenfiddich.
