It’s a shame Stoke City is no longer in the Premier League.
No, not because Im a long ball aficionado although the tactic certainly has its time and place.
Nor am I or some sort of sick footballing sadist with an appetite for the dour scrap in blustery conditions that would make a purists eyes bleed.
But should Lionel Messi actually leave Barcelona for England, we still wont know if he can do it on a cold, rainy night in Stoke, barring a lucky FA Cup or League Cup draw.
