Horn trainer’s crazy excuse for refusal to stop ‘disgraceful’ beating – Fox Sports
Jeff Horn’s trainer Glenn Rushton has hit back at brutal criticism of his refusal to put a stop to his fighter’s brutal beat down at the hands of Tim Tszyu in Wednesday night’s blockbuster bout.
Horn had been battered throughout the fight knocked down in the third round and tumbling to the canvas twice more and when he staggered back to his corner after the eighth round, most viewers could see the fight should have been ended immediately.
But Rushton was reluctant to call the fight, asking the 32-year-old: Have you got a punch left in you or not? Give us a minute
Eventually, cornerman Adam Copland went over Rushtons head, telling referee Phil Austin to call off the fight.
