Rogers driven to get more Victorians into Australian team – Sydney Morning Herald
Chris Rogers is determined to help ensure more Victorians become permanent fixtures in the Australian team after being appointed the state’s new men’s coach.
Rogers, who played 25 Tests for Australia – mostly during a late-career bloom – had been a coach with Cricket Australia’s high-performance department, taking on several roles including coaching Australia’s under-19s earlier this year at the World Cup.
While this summer’s domestic schedule remains up in the air, Rogers said he was keen to maintain the Vics’ strong domestic record this century, to which he contributed greatly after moving from Western Australia in the back half of his career.
