AMP’s two biggest critics have pledged to give chief executive Francesco De Ferrari breathing space after instigating a cleanout at the battered wealth manager.

Mr De Ferrari faces enormous pressure from staff, shareholders and institutional clients to radically overhaul the business model and culture of the 170-year-old wealth management firm after the Financial Reviews investigations into AMP triggered a backdown on the July 1 promotion of Mr Pahari.
