But the exact details of when and where you can get your hands on the brand new PS5 are still sketchy.
Sony started the promotional trail yesterday by sending subscribed users teasing emails that give little detail but suggest an announcement is imminent.
The announcement in question could be the launch event much rumoured to be taking place this Friday, August 28.
