NRL set to stop players cashing in on broken contracts after Addo-Carr case – Sydney Morning Herald
Clubs are set to be banned from offering players more money to break their contracts, with Melbourne winger’s manager seeking ‘fullback money’ from Sydney teams.

Other big-name players who have forced the hand of their clubs to leave for more money in recent years include Blake Green (Manly to Warriors) and David Klemmer (Bulldogs to Knights).
“There will be a complete review in the offseason,” ARLC chairman Peter V’landys said. “I can assure you we will be addressing the frustrations of the fans.”
