The Swans will not risk bringing the veteran forward back to playing duties in 2020 after he experienced another injury setback during a rehabilitation program.
The Sydney Swans have confirmed Lance Franklin has been ruled out of the remainder of the AFL season because of injury.
- Lance Franklin developed groin soreness while undergoing a rehabilitation program for a hamstring injury
- The Swans medical staff decided against bringing Franklin back before the end of the season
- The club is hopeful he will be “back to full strength” next year
