Melbourne young gun Brandon Smith has had two titanium plates inserted to repair a broken jaw and has already lost three kilograms.
One of the Storms most consistent and versatile players, Smith sustained a broken jaw as Melbournes eight-match winning streak came to an end in round 15 against the Eels.
