A further three people have lost their lives at Greater Manchester’s hospitals after testing positive for coronavirus.
The death toll in the region’s hospitals now stands at 2,164, the latest NHS daily figures show.
All three deaths were recorded at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Another six people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 29,496, NHS England said on Saturday.
