‘Enough is enough’ say retail landlords – The Australian Financial Review
Major landlords believe they have borne the brunt of the pandemic pain, giving out $1.6 billion in rental assistance to small and medium sized retailers so far.

“Its just gone too far,” said Pete Morrissey, who heads APN Property’s business investing into real estate securities.
“The support mechanisms under the commercial code of conduct are fairly blunt. There are obviously areas that need more help than others. And there are many retailers that are just taking full advantage of it.
“The code removed the obligation of the lease for a period. It was about sharing the pain. But there has been no sharing from the tenants that are doing extremely well.”…
