A2 Milk grows up, launches $246m offer to buy Kiwi dairy manufacturer – Sydney Morning Herald
Infant formula company a2 Milk has made its first move into manufacturing with an offer to buy a majority share in a Kiwi dairy manufacturer.
Infant formula produced at the one vertically integrated site is a manufacturing approach favoured by Chinese regulators. A2 does not currently manufacture its own infant formula.
“As part of our preliminary due diligence we’ve had industry experts review the plant, they confirmed to us it is state-of-the art and it’s certainly capable of producing the highest quality nutritional products,” Mr Babidge said.
