Former Crown Resorts boss Rowen Craigie has said he was not made aware by executives running the VIP operation that Crown’s China employees were living in fear of arrest.
Mr Craigie said he was also not made aware by Crown’s executives running the VIP operation that Crown’s China employees were living in fear of arrest and detention, or that the Australian-based executives involved in the VIP business did not travel to China at that time due to the risks.
Counsel assisting the inquiry, Adam Bell, asked Mr Craigie: “Do you agree, from what Ive shown you, that it appears there was a breakdown in the corporate governance of Crown Resorts in relation to this issue.”…
